Carrie & Rob 7/31/2010

Robots, baseball, and the best wedding mixtape i've ever heard all come together together to make a wonderful celebration! Carrie & Rob were married at the Warehouse at Camden Yards for a bright & sunny brunch wedding. I was introduced to these two through a close friend and couldn't have been more thankful for meeting them. Throughout all the communication with them I really felt a connection to the young couple and looked forward to being able to capture their big day. They were both so creative - donut displays as table centerpieces, robot place cards, and programs that were made into flags! My assistant, Chrissy, and I had a blast the whole day though my favorite part was being able to photograph the wedding party in camden yards. Check out some of the highlights of the day below:

Chrissy and I also featured our POP SHOTS! photobooth at Carrie & Rob's wedding. Here's a preview of some of those from the wedding - you can find the rest right here!

POP SHOTS!

Chrissy and I started a new project called Pop Shots! We ♥ Baltimore and want to document it's inhabitants and fun events through a pop up photo booth! Our first events were Carrie & Rob's wedding (photographs and photo booth coming soon) and Otakon 2010. We had a blast and hope you enjoy viewing the photos as much as we did making them.

We will be putting up all the sets on the Pop Shots! blog for viewing & downloading. Check 'em out!

First wedding! Jonathon & Sarah

So in June I had the opportunity to shoot my first wedding. My friend Ahmed's sister was getting married in the back yard of their lovely home in Worthington Valley, Md and invited me to be there for the day. I got to experience all the stress of being a wedding photographer but also understand all the rewards of capturing the most important day of someone's life. Below are some of my favorite images from the day!

I was so happy to be apart of their day and look forward to the next wedding i'm shooting in the end of July.

Photography Show at 13.5% Wine bar !!!!!!

For the month of December my Intimate Exposures series and my underwater color photography will be on display at 13.5% in Hampden in Baltimore. 13.5 is a wine bar that just opened up in July. I'm so excited for this opportunity, the bar is always full for lunch and dinner so I can only imagine a lot of people will be viewing my work. The opening is going to be December 9th at 7pm, it's my first show since I've graduated and I'm hoping for a good turnout. Stop by anytime this month!

HAUNTINGDON AVE: KILLER KODAK PHOTO STATION

For halloween my neighborhood had a block party that consisted of each porch having a different kids activity. The goal was really to create a safe, family environment on halloween. Not many neighborhoods in Baltimore are safe to trick or treat in after dark, so we really were excited to give families a safe alternative. There was a zombie face painting station, pumpkin carving, and our station was a photo booth.

We painted a scary cemetery backdrop :

It was really interesting to see how the kids reacted to the camera. Depending on their age they were obviously more aware. We even had whole families dress up and participate. Below are some of the photographs that me and another Baltimore photographer, Andy Cook, took on halloween.

This was my first time really participating in a community art project and I just had a blast! The experience has really motivated me to volunteer and get more involved in the community. I can't wait for next years Hauntingdon!
